Suggested Itineraries
Each itinerary below promises you a high-quality, content-rich and fun tour with personal attention and comfort. All can be tailored to reflect your interests and style of exploring.

Boston Welcome - Broad Overview
If you are a first-time visitor, you may want to “pack everything in” with our broadest overview of historic and contemporary Boston. We choose among the following -- Beacon Hill, Downtown Crossing, Copley Square, Back Bay, Fenway, the new Seaport, North End, South Boston, the South End and Cambridge, including MIT and Harvard – to show you both signature and overlooked sites, our colonial, seafaring, intellectual past, historic firsts, spots where today’s Bostonians live, play and shop.

Overviews are best experienced by car; however, an edited version can be arranged for walkers.

Boston Up Close – Focused Overview
Also an overview, but with an emphasis on depth rather than breadth, that will still give you a strong sense of the city. We will cover some places by car, but also select several key areas to explore up close by foot. Some areas may be parts of Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Cambridge, Harvard Yard, the Emerald Necklace or South End. You can request which areas to focus on or have us prepare the itinerary. Boston Up Close is suited for both drive and walking tours.

Beyond the T – Boston’s Outskirts
Many of Boston’s more fascinating places cannot be reached easily by foot or public transportation. Discover some of these less-visited areas, such as the South Boston’s Seaport and Beaches, the South End’s South of Washington Street (SoWa) arts district, Colonial Roxbury, the Emerald Necklace, the Fenway cultural area, Tory Row and Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Coolidge Corner, Jamaica Plain (JP) or one of our other streetcar suburbs.

Although suited for drive tours, walkers can experience this tour if they are willing to take cabs.

Boston Your Way’s Favorites
Admittedly this is more Boston OUR way, than Boston Your Way. But enjoy discovering Boston through the eyes of your BYW host. Some places are on the Top Ten of must-sees; others are hidden and “local”. All are special.

Your Favorites
Explore in more depth a topic of your choice, geographic or topical. Upon request, we will arrange a memorable tour focusing on, for instance, Boston’s history, its architecture, arts scene, scientific firsts, or Boston’s unique cityscape.
