I just wanted to thank you once more for a wonderful tour with our friends from California. You paced it very well and were quite sensitive both to the needs and attention spans of all the boys. The tour was informative, fun and entertaining. If you ever need a reference, please let us know.
Thanks to your terrific guiding, the West Point Class of 1961, “Second To None”, Company A-2, became “Revolutionary” proficient!
Now wise in Lexington and North Bridge and Dorchester Heights military happenings from 1775 and 1776, we mates of A-2, with spouses and friends, relish our “new” expertise, derived from your caring and knowledgeable presentations. Much was learned in our enjoyable weekend time with you by recipients who delighted in your attention to our varied needs.
Samuel Adams and George Washington would be proud of your recounting of Greater Boston’s part in our country's coming of age.
We have traveled extensively in North America. South America, and Europe, and have taken a number of different tours in various cities and countries.
Without question, Maryglenn Vincens’ BOSTON YOUR WAY tour was the most informative and interesting sightseeing excursion that we have encountered. Maryglenn is the ultimate professional – knowledgeable, well read, informative, communicative, and friendly. She weaves her unique insights into the tour, which make for a very interesting experience indeed. In addition to her professionalism, Maryglenn is just plain fun to be with.
This personalized tour is not for those looking for large groups, buses, and bland tour guides. But if you are looking for an experience that you know was tailored just for you, Maryglenn is the answer. We began the tour as customers…we know that we ended the tour as friends.
We highly recommend BOSTON YOUR WAY and Maryglenn Vincens….you will not be disappointed.

Maryglenn Vincens' Boston Your Way really does Boston your way. In our case, it was Revolutionary Boston--by wheelchair. Where Paul Revere and George Washington traveled by horse, Maryglenn hired an appropriate car and driver and got me and my husband, John, who uses a wheelchair, around and about Boston and Cambridge and out to Lexington and Concord. She even got us into the Revere House (quite an achievement in a wheelchair) and toured us around some battlefields. Her knowledge of Revolutionary War history was excellent and her insider insights were fun and interesting, things only a long time Bostonian would know. I highly recommend Boston Your Way. Let Maryglenn know what you want and she'll deliver.
Thank you for the wonderful tour of Boston on June 8. The next night the Red Sox clobbered the Yankees 7-0! We had a great trip.
Thanks again for making my first trip to Boston so memorable and informative.
You and your company, Boston Your Way, were the godsend that I was looking for. A private personalized tour was exactly what I wanted for my group of family and friends. Your menu of tours was also well constructed and made it easy for me to select one for our group who has never been to Boston. And a most deserving compliment to you. Your knowledge of Boston and your presentation were outstanding! Truly a first class experience. From my family, friends, my wife and me, thank you very much.
We really enjoyed our time in Boston and already planning for our return! The tour…..it was exactly what we wanted. It was great seeing the history…but also the behind the scenes stuff that most tours ignore..the neighborhoods, the character and some of the day-to-day things.
As seasoned travelers we appreciate someone with in-depth knowledge, flexibility and the ability to show us the must-see places of interest but also the unique the tour bus would never hit. We saw in one day with you what others offer in a three-day tour. Personalized, intelligent, intriguing, delivered with passion Well-worth our time. Highly recommend!
I very much appreciated our tour that was both custom and traditional. You showed me in a few hours an excellent sampling of the traditional and unique features of Boston. I would recommend your service to both families and individual travelers that want to taste the real Boston with real anecdotes, history, and perspective instead of bland repetitive tour speak. Thank you again for the fine afternoon.
We are safely back home in Pasadena. Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed you and your tour. Nancy and I agreed that it was the highlight of our trip to NY and Boston and believe it or not, the sandwishes, etc. from the deli on Salem St. was our favorite meal. Nancy particularly enjoyed the quick walk through your community garden. We caught a little of the Italian Festival after dinner in the North End Sunday night. That was classic. We will definitely be returning to Boston.
We loved your tour!! It was so fun, so perfect, so complete. I
absolutely loved how you wove so much information and insights into a walking tour. Loved your social analysis of the city and its particulars. I learned a lot! and everyone else did too.
My family was most impressed with you personally. They all said how
enthusiastic you were, how bubbly (that's a compliment), how knowledgable.
Thank you again--for me, it was the sight-seeing highlight hands down!

A quick note to say how much my friends and I enjoyed the walking tours of Boston you led for us--delightfully informative. Your obvious knowledge of the people and events that make up Boston's history was infectious.
You may remember me asking about South Boston. Based on your recommendation, I read Michael Patrick McDonald's book "All Souls." I loved the book and went out and bought copies for those who were on the tour with me. I now wish we had done a walking tour of Southie. Next time!

Thanks again for a wonderful day. The spouses truly enjoyed themselves and your expertise of the city. It was a pleasure working with you. You made it sooo simple for me.
Just wanted to say thanks and give you an update on our trip. It was awesome and we loved it! The info you gave us really got us started in the right direction. We would often refer back to your plans and itin and then venture off from there.
Although we were there 5 days it flew by. I could certainly spend much more time in Boston.
Thanks again for all your help and direction. Blessings to you!

I want to thank you for your help for organizing our social events! We really enjoyed Hamersleys and Sel de la Terre. We had great evenings with our customers! Thank you very much! All the best from Switzerland.
Maryglenn is fantastic! I was looking for someone unique that could relate to the needs of my European clients. Maryglenn was all that and more! My clients were so pleased with her services that they thanked me several different times and said that I should recommend her to all out of town guests, corporate or personal.
She was flexible and very knowledgeable about the city of Boston and its local culture. I couldn't have asked for a more professional and personable guide for my very important guests! Thank you Maryglenn for going above and beyond my expectations!

Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our tour with you yesterday. You got the interest up about our nation's beginnings in all of us. You made the tour very educational as well as interesting. If we end up taking our daughter on a trip up here, we will give you a call and arrange another tour. We will certainly recommend you to anyone coming this way.

"Maryglenn was excellent -- in a word. She showed up early to pick us up from the hotel, gave a wonderful driving tour of Boston and showed us the highlights of Cambridge. Her knowledge of Boston was impressive, including that she even pointed out a few things we should do and the places to eat. She dropped us off right at our Duck Tour, understanding we wanted to be there on time. Maryglenn is on the top of my list for Boston, which is a great place to be on my list, considering the huge travel agency that I work for."

Over a short 4th of July weekend my wife and I along with our four daughters ages 9 to 18 visited Boston. We wanted our kids to experience the history of such a terrific city so we searched for a tour guide to meet our needs. After exchanging emails with several potential guides we hired Maryglenn. She promised to tailor a tour just for our family and make it fun for all of us. She really came through! Keeping the attention of 4 girls is not easy but she did a great job. She was knowledgable, fun, quick paced, adaptable and a great story teller. They loved the Boston Garden walk and tour of the shopping district. My wife and I enjoyed it all especially Old North Church and the North End walk.
If you want to experience the real Boston and have fun along the way then you must call or email Maryglenn. The next time the Williams family comes to Beantown we are calling her first.

When I found out that my brother would be in Boston for a two-day business trip I decided that a personal tour would be an original gift. I particulary needed something that would fit a very tight schedule.
I searched the internet for a tour company and found "Boston Your
Way." I liked what I read on Maryglenn's site and was convinced that I'd
found the right guide after speaking with her - my impression couldn't
have been more accurate. Maryglenn's interesting and well-informed tour
was made even more notable by her outstanding service. My brother's plane
arrived late and his suitcase was lost - Maryglenn checked the airline's
site to determine his arrival time, met him at his hotel (two hours after
the time initially scheduled for the tour) and even offered to take him to
a department store to buy some essentials!
A potentially disgruntled stop
on a nondescript business trip became a memorable afternoon thanks to
Maryglenn's attention to detail and personable manner. We highly recommend the exceptional tour service offered by "Boston Your Way."

I was hosting a friend from Iraq when we wound up in Boston for a few days. The weather wasn’t cooperating, serving up cool with spotty rain. But thanks to Boston Your Way, and especially Maryglenn, we enjoyed an intimate and comprehensive view of this charming city from the luxurious comfort of a spacious SUV. In Cambridge we stopped for a coffee in the fabulous Frank Gehry building at MIT. We navigated narrow streets to historic landmarks and took in modern architectural landmarks from broad sweeping vistas.
All the while Maryglenn provided solid information—facts with interesting anecdotes. Both my friend and I felt that we’d had a taste of the real Boston when our private tour ended.
I had asked Maryglenn to recommend a restaurant for dinner and we chose Hamersley’s Bistro on Tremont Street, a lovely conclusion to our tour of this memorable city.
Thank you, Maryglenn, for delivering all that you promised and more!

We had a great time. We loved the tour and got a great sense of Boston’s history. I had so much fun hearing your narrative and seeing the lollipop map.

We want to thank you for your gracious hospitality during our walking tour. We felt like we were a part of history as we walked the streets and visited the numerous historical sites that Boston has to offer. We loved the sights, sounds and flavors of the Italian district, especially the Fisherman's Festival. Boston is definitely a walking city - no need for a car when the T will take you wherever you want to go. We highly recommend the harbor tour at sunset.

Bravo Maryglenn! My sales team was thoroughly entertained and impressed with your professionalism and attention to detail on our most recent excursion. Your humor and personal touch charmed my group and gave them wonderful memories to take home. Thanks for helping us create an interesting and unique sales setting by allowing us to stop, look, laugh and enjoy your beautiful city.

We hired Boston Your Way to host clients from Dallas. They are physicians and technology decision-makers. We needed a high-end tour that would engage them, not just talk at them. Maryglenn was professional but friendly, and she really knows Boston.

Definitely worth it!! The touring was fun. Not typical. I had been to Boston three times, but my wife had not been there before, and she prefers to take private tours. I thought I knew the history. Maryglenn showed us so much more –with stories and details and opinions about living in Boston.

I would like to thank you very much indeed for organising such an interesting tour for me, when I was in Boston recently.
I particularly enjoyed seeing some sights, that were ‘off the beaten track’, and learning about things that are not included in any guide book.
You are obviously very knowledgeable on your subject and you made the tour very enjoyable. I felt that the trip was very well planned, to maximise the time available, and I enjoyed being transported in excellent comfort.
I would be happy to recommend Boston Your Way to any visitor to Boston, and I wish you all the very best. I look forward to having the opportunity to visit Boston again, and hope that you can plan to show me some more of your wonderful city.

I want to thank you for your informative and comfortable tour of Boston.
My wife and I were grateful for your suggestion that we avoid some of the heavily touristed sites in favor of exploring intriguing but lesser known places. It made for a memorable day! We also appreciated your restaurant recommendations (especially Metropolis!).
We will certainly recommend your company to our friends and colleagues when they visit Boston.

Secret Agent: The most interesting, hidden, or unusual parts of Boston are best found on foot with a premium tour by Boston Your Way. Founder Maryglenn Vincens will personally dispel the myths and mysteries of this historic town, showing you the inner workings of this uniquely complex city from the Immigrant North End to Fenway. This is not your basic highlights walking tour. Fun facts while you walk include the history of the Necco Wafer, the definition of an authentic Boston Brahmin, and the legacy of Fannie Farmer that is still being used in kitchens today. You’ll stop at overlooked sites and learn the genuine history of Boston’s colonial, seafaring, and intellectual past, and then be astounded at how smart you sound spouting tidbits about Boston at your next dinner party. All tours are $100 an hour.

The classiest introduction to Boston is a town-car tour with Maryglenn Vincens' Boston Your Way. Vincens customizes itineraries for the been-there-done-that crowd. Gaze through the limo's tinted windows at centuries-old city streets, then have your chauffeur stop at the Kennedy Library and Museum....

Back in Boston, we decided against taking the city’s popular Duck Tour in a World War II landing craft painted to look like a garish carnival ride. As it drove right into the Charles River, the guide encouraged passengers to continue their “quack-quack-quack-ing.
Instead, a private guide met us at the hotel for “Boston Your Way”, a tour more appealing to a National Public Radio audience. While Maryglenn Vincens' tours don’t have a lot of dazzle, she really knows her “stuff” and can take a car into the narrow streets of North End and Beacon Hill where the long line of tourist busses do not go.
From Boston Cityscape, Molly Rose Teuke, Midwest Airlines Magazine, September/October 2006
We headed to the trendy South End with Maryglenn Vincens of custom tour company Boston Your Way. This is the largest Victorian rowhouse district in the country...[and it] calls for leisurely strolling. Vincens guides us to what becomes my favorite lane in all of Boston: Public Alley 705, a narrow walkway through the Berkeley Community Garden.
