In our case, it was Revolutionary Boston--by wheelchair. Where Paul Revere and George Washington traveled by horse, Maryglenn hired an appropriate car and driver and got me and my husband, John, who uses a wheelchair, around and about Boston and Cambridge and out to Lexington and Concord. She even got us into the Revere House (quite an achievement in a wheelchair) and toured us around some battlefields. In Cambridge we stopped for a coffee in the fabulous Frank Gehry building at MIT. We navigated narrow streets to historic landmarks and took in modern architectural landmarks from broad sweeping vistas. All the while Maryglenn provided solid information—facts with interesting anecdotes. Both my friend and I felt that we’d had a taste of the real Boston when our private tour ended.
